These next-generation cork stoppers with a unique, stylish print, are made of micro-agglomerated cork (granule size: 0.5 - 2 mm) of the best quality, they also tested negative for TCA. The moulding process gives these corks a nice, solid shape; which is much better compared to the cheaper corks whose granules are larger (granule size 2 - 4 mm) and which are formed by pressing.
They have great structural stability and are recommended for relatively fast consumption wines (recommended for consumption within 2 years after bottling).
Although they are made of 100% natural cork, they are harder than standard natural corks with a diameter of 23 mm. Therefore they can only be used with standing corkers. To uncork, a good corkscrew is essential.
All corks have been siliconised. It is therefore not necessary to presoak them in water. Should you still want to do that, it is best to immerse the cork stoppers for 10 minutes in a solution of lukewarm water with equal amounts of sulphite and citric acid to disinfect them. Pat dry with a dry and clean cloth.- Length x diameter: 38 mm x 23 mm
