BEST A-XL malt

BEST A-XL malt is made from the traditional German barley variety Alexis. In 1986, this malt variety was approved for beer production in Germany and has been used as a standard in Europe for many years.

BEST A-XL gives beer a malty taste, fullness and a golden yellow color. The higher proportion of free amino nitrogen (FAN) provides the yeast with the right amount of food during fermentation. Due to its balanced properties, BEST A-XL shows up to 30 percent higher beer foam stability in tests compared to conventional standard malts. This malt can be used up to 100%.
