If you want to control the pressure that is held in a pressure vessel that releases the pressure, the BlowTie Diaphragm Control Valve is the right tool for the job.

Pressure fermentation

As pressure fermentation has become more popular, a way to regulate and control this residual pressure in the fermentation process has become increasingly important. BlowTie was designed specifically for this reason.

Read more about the many benefits of pressure fermentation in this article.

Pressure transfers
When transferring from keg to keg, keg to bottle, or fermenter to keg, it's often helpful to have pressure in the keg you're pouring into, especially if you're transferring a carbonated beverage. Because of this, the BlowTie can consistently control this pressure for more consistent results and no loss of carbonation during the carbonation process.

Traditional spring valves, which use a simple spring against the seal, are flawed from the start, because the physical aspects of the design will leave you with a large difference between opening and closing pressure during operation. Brewers have tolerated this imperfection long enough and now you can control this pressure much more precisely.

The BlowTie has been designed in a completely different way, using a diaphragm that activates a sealing mechanism that will allow pressure from the pressure vessel at a much more precise control pressure.

Instructions:
Use the yellow adjustment knob to control the pressure coming out of the pressure vessel. Clockwise means more pressure, counterclockwise means less pressure.
We recommend inflating the barrel to a known pressure, e.g. 15 psi, then attach your blow kit to the barrel and adjust to 10 psi.
