This malt is the Scottish answer and competitor to Maris Otter (MO) malt. According to its northern English neighbors, it is far superior to MO. Due to its taste characteristics, Golden Promise malt is best suited for British and American IPA style beers, but due to its deep and complex malt flavor, it will also be perfect for regular ales. This malt is also used to distill the highest quality single malt Scotch whiskies.
